A Once Cent Dividend

Harldy seems worth it?  I would rather they allocate money towards exploration and further development of new projects, but that could prove to be costly.  I do not think we will be nationalized.  The big question is how much higher will the tin price go.

A penny divvy is a start ! It sends a signal to the market that this mine is throwing off cash , and everyone likes free $$$$ . There is more than enough $$$ to fund exploration, expansion , whatever they like .  I got stung in the Congo 10 years ago with a company called Africo . Thieves stole the company from us . I swore I would never invest in the Congo again .... until the summer of ...more

But dividends are not free. When you are paid a dividend, your common shares lose book value by the same amount. I greatly prefer a share buyback for AFM, a large one, say 10% per year for five years. Dividends or a share consolidation would be neutral for shareholders, but a substantive buyback would deliver value (and increase potential for future value) by undoing the dilution problem. I agree TickerT I love share buy backs especially for this Company for the reasons you stated ... but I also agree with Geezer , that they can afford to do it all .  I love companies that give back .

Alphamin has the money to do both, to give out its first dividend and also has money for exploration and development.  They have budgeted exporation funds and capex already sunk into Mpama North will support expansion into Mpama South.  They ...more
