when the economies collapse it wont matter what u own.. some physical nuggets i see value in.. going to buy a load bread with bitcoin I just cant picture it...

Fair but it may be the only thing you can reliably vet/validate to truly have value. I love gold, but BTC has its place & not owning some may be the most costly mistake you'll ever make.

they don't have to confiscate it, they just have to put capital controls in place, taxes, excise fees etc. Blockchain is far less anonymous than physical metal held outside of system. All the central bank would have to do is put a 50% excise on BC transactions and its over

First off, you can't restrict the flow of Bitcoin, only online centralized on/off ramps. It runs peer to peer & theirs a host of decentrlaized entities that suffice for liqudity. Nigeria as is many other places is a prime example of this, ban Bitcoin & volumes explode. It's aleady taxed in many places & in Canada/USA, Bitcoin is recognized as a commodity and not illegal to own ...more
