Stocks up Gold down Investor misconception

What sense can be made of today's market action ?
Now that the debt ceiiling farce is over, and i said it would be come the beginning of June back in Jan. right here. An expected recession is becoming more real than ever to mainstream investors who rightfully believe the Fed is going to ease off on rate hikes. Then ease into monetizing government spending to oblivion regardless of the Fed talking out both sides of their mouths which has gotten more than a little old and pretty much ignored.
This reasoning is boosting the stock market while generating the mistaken belief that a recession will blow out inflation - hence the drop in the price of gold.
Belief that inflation will subside in the next officially declared recession is complete fallacy.
The coming recession will become an inflationary depression now with zero control on what in essence is to turn into unlimited government spending over the next two years. Vastly inflationary spending at that.
I've been saying it all along here. Inflation is not going away and will worsen with devastating consequences that will ultimately and eventually finally drive gold upward at a steady clip.

L&S We have never been in unprecedented times of rising deficits and national debt and the rampant government spending as exists now. Inflation will be the outcome and a lot of it. Its a veritible no-brainer. The sky is falling types of years past had no foundation for their rantings just like backward comments like yours have none either. And where are the sky is falling chicken littles now ...more

We've never been in an environment of rising debt, rates and spending before?   Er....    OK bud.   How about as a little exercise you go and look at CPI going back to the 70's and try to qualify your statement with a little good old factoid or two.   Try adding a couple of other lines as well, how about say ...the DJII, spot and 10-year treasury ...more

L&S you are entirely in the dark in regards to absolutely everytuing you just said. Do you even understand inflation or what's happenend with it since the 1970's? Obviously not in the very least. You want to talk about adding on to points i may have left out and to qualify my statement with a good old factoid or two. Well to start off, I have been qualifying my statements with the ...more

I think the most used word on this board is "manipulated".   You gold bugs sure do love a good old conspiracy.   When its up, you're all self-styled geniuses, when its down, your genius is simply being doused by the manipulators.   #GoldLivesMatter.

There is no conspiricy going on with investors in gold given the current economic reality as pertains to Gov't and Fed double-speak cover-ups and lies. The CPI is vastly manipulated period. This is an unchangeable fact not a conspiracy. It is one that is going to get away from Gov't and Fed containment in the not too distant future. It is fact the Gov't is lying about reining in ...more

The only thing more a shambles than the economy is your spelling.
