A New Way For Gold Juniors To Raise Capital?

By Alex Létourneau of Kitco News
Tuesday February 11, 2014 12:37 PM

(Kitco News) - The gold junior mining landscape has been a rough one of late, with a lack of capital and lower gold prices extinguishing companies around the world.

With mining companies slashing costs and investor confidence rattled in the sector, capital has been hard to come by.

One junior miner is going a different route for generating capital, something you tend to see more with large-scale miners, investment companies and banks -- selling gold forward.

Lake Victoria Mining Co. (OTCBB:) is selling forward part of its gold at the company’s Kinyambwiga Gold Project, located in Tanzania, in order to raise capital.

That was ABX's stock-in-trade for years. With so many great assets, how could AOX be in this position. It's fair to infer something is wrong with either the assets or the management.

Souwester; its both. Not because the assets are bad, but because Gord has mismanaged these assets  down the drain.

blankspace, You're preaching to the choir. The fate for shareholders is nothing short of appalling and nightmarish.

Well put!!! We have 2 properties that contain a few billion dollars of mineralization and we trade at TWO  AND ONE HALF CENTS!!!!!! We have gravel and water for sale   and we trade for 2.5 CENTS!!!  This is totally ridiculous. SO WHAT IS THE ANSWER?  Time for Mr. B. to give shareholders an update.
