Why no action?

As I understand it Teck took out the third largest shareholder at about $0.105 per share.-
They increased their holdings from 19% to just over 30%. The joint venture  (Teck 50% with MMI  and AQM (50%%)has more than enough money to complete the PFS, thanks to Mitsubishi and Teck.
AQM goes along for the ride. If the PFS is positive (and I cannnot see any reason for the outcome to be anything worse than a repeat of the PEA).
Normally a PFS will recomend more information on resources  (to confirm Reserves as opposed to resources.
If the project moves either to a FS or production there will be an opportuity for AQM to participate in financing Zafranal based on their 30% of the project of face dilution if they fail to come up with the money.
With Teck in a strong position in AQM they can support AQM's fundraising when the time comes through any number of alternate financing schemes. If Teck participated i any underwriting or provides loan guarantees-AQM could have a full 30% of Zafranal., with Teck having 50% directly and another 10% for their share of AQM.
I think being patient is probably the best thing to do at this point.

I am not sure, Why would Teck provide AQM with loans for financing AQM's 30% share of Zafranal? It would be better for Teck to buy the whole company instead. If the share price will not react, I believe this is what Teck will do. It has been a while since the share price is so depressed.

I am not sure either but Teck did pick up a big pile of shares at a bargain price.  Share packages that have significant size are not that commonly available and I suppose whoever was the previous owner could not see a future for their position and just decided to take their losses at this time. Perhaps there was some tax advantages to them? My speculation that Teck would support AQM going ...more

I believe this company has no market exposure at all. Even in Peru, the company does not trade at all. There are no news releases, they hardly appear on the media. Unless it is s strategy for a low profile, if the company does not get attention from the market, the share price will continue to be  depressed. so depressed that when Teck or Mitsubishi decide to take it over , they will pick it ...more

A couple of weeks ago I sent an e-mail to the company and received a response within the day. I believe that the lack of market interst is based on the fact that they do not need money for at least 18 months. The PFS is underway and it is fully funded thanks to Mitsubishi and Teck. AQM is on the bus with a fully paid ticket up to the release date of the PFS. If copper stays strong and the gold ...more

You may be right, but I have no idea about AQM's share structure. Anyway, we will have to wait until the release of the PFS, but if the share price continue to get so depressed, shareholders will get bored. And there will be a hostile takeover at a bargain price, no doubt about it.

so depressed that when Teck or decide to take it over , they will pick it up at a bargain price. That's unfortunate I must say. You might want to check out CXM.V if your bored as they reported 521m intersection of copper.

Neither Teck or Mitsubishi have any need to do anything at this point. Teck now controls 30% of AQM and will do whatever they want when it comes to move from the Feasibility to a production decision. If you look at the JV it is 50-50 Teck on one side and AQM/Mitsubishi on the other. If the FS is positive and  a production decision is made, it seems to me that as long as the share positions ...more
