I'm in. Extremely difficult to make a purchase. Had to pay C$2.20.

Hope you didn't use Wealth Simple to buy. They are offering "free trades", but 2.20 hasn't shown up as a high of the day. My buddy just paid 2.22 on WS. They are just making cash on inflating your bid and ask.  What a scam.

I've never heard of Wealth Simple. I use IB.

Still confused as to how you paid 2.20, if they high of the day is still showing 2.18 on multiple brokers I'm looking at.

Are you referring to the share price? The buy:ask price are the key (currently 2.16:2.24, as you can see on the page).

The high of the day on Google Finance, TD Webbroker, and Yahoo Finance al showing 2.18. If you paid 2.20, Did IB skim 2 cents a share off the top?

This is my last comment on the matter. Look up bid:ask price. You typically don't pay the share price--you pay the bid price to buy (usually higher than the stated share price), and sell at the ask price (lower than the share price). The highest bid price I saw was C$2.24, but someone mentioned as high as C$2.39 earlier. This is all very basic stuff. All the best

Hey Bertie DME fizzled and now you are here. Good for you. The bids and asks are rigged for stocks like these. The market makers are in charge. I've bought stock and it never showed up on the board. The house sometimes fills trades internally and never reports it. I've bought stock at a higher price than the day's high. Go figure.

Thanks GoldenArm! I saw your recommendation for Arch on the DME board, checked it out, and went with it. So many thanks for the heads up!  The way Arch is going, I can see its share price surpassing DME's quite soon. I love the risk:reward potential on this one, but it's pretty tense waiting for these peer-reviewed phase II results. It's alot like waiting for the result of a ...more
