But why would you be concerned? The Board and senior mangement are fulfilling their fiduciary duties to do what is best for the shareholders are they not? To that end, I understand that a long standing practice has been to show restraint through their travel policy. Whenever they are in Toronto, instead of staying at the 4 diamond Holiday Inn literally within walking distance of ATQ hq, they stay ...more

Lets have them pack their lunches for board meetings as well. Frankly, your sweating the small stuff and your points come across as being grudge based. Its the U.S. dollar that is creating serious challenges for this and other Canadian manufacturing companies. If you got some ideas in that regard, that would be constructive.

Now you are going to the absurd. This has nothing to do with people or grudges. But to put this in perspective I could name a tsx listed company where the top management took a one year 50% salary cut so that they could keep the company going without breaching bank loan covenants. This resulted in no dilution of shares and communicated effectively to all staff and shareholders that management was ...more

yur suspicion make me even more suspicious.u know where they live and where they stay in hotels. So you laid off or you are ex-insider. But you no longer in the company so its ok to whine!!

What did the 50% take them down to and what is that figure compared to ATQ management's remuneration package? Not that I think that is really relevant because as I said we are comparing apples and organges. I noticed that you had ...more

Musing: re headwinds, the cdn dollar is still trading at a discount to the US$ and the US$ does not seem to have been too much of a problem for companies like IEC and LB, both of whom have all their operations in the US in US$.What about the San Jose plant that ATQ bought. What was the strategy behind that given that its sales and all expenses are presumably in US$.Also why is the company ...more

I agree that ATQ should consider reporting in U.S. dollars. With respect to IEC and LB, do they report in U.S. acurrency or Canadian. Whatever they do to make them successful is good for them but show me which hotels they stay in and how they scrimp the way you suggest that ATQ management should scrimp. Just call me cynical but I continue to be sceptical of the purity of your motives.
