Hey-would you invest $50-$60,000  in a company that has been circling the drain for 2 years?  I know I wouldn't unless there was some sort of hope for them.....lets keep a positive attitude today-this is a good sign!

Right,   but it is not ''high volume''. You pick up 250 000 shares for 5 000$. Come on! You drop your pocket money & thow the dices. Just a bet.

I apologize, wrong term used,   Was noticing the increased share volume compared to last little while. It does seem to strike me a bit pecular, why waste the money if there's no hope? If if its just pocket change for some.

I keep hearing this recently, and i sit back and shake/scratch my head at these comments.   When a company has the mineral rights to such land, they don't own the topsoil that makes the parcel.   Almost every piece of land is owned by a farmer, who puts hard effort into supplying food for our nation.     So you all know, i haven't gone through the books yet, but i'm ...more

Actually a lot of the mineral rights are held by people who have never even been on the land before. In a few areas like pierson and sinclair, no one thought there was going to be any new oil found so when land was being sold the purchaser most often did not include the mineral rights in the sale. The land has changed hands a few times but the mineral rights can still be held by the great grandson ...more

The 'point' is that people make comments about the value of the land to where they have the mineral rights, and the value of said land being part of the company's portfolio.   Saskatchewan took initiative way back in the early 1900's and bought up most of the mineral rights, with some exceptions of course.  But to most land parcels, the mineral rights are the property of  ...more

When we are talking about ATKs 'land' we're referring to the mineral rights they currently have leased. Who owns the surface rights doesn't really matter. And if you have a signed lease agreement giving you the right to the minerals in exchange for a royalty, who ultimately owns that land also does not matter because it is the lease agreements that would be sold.
