Globe says Stewart likes Rupert's Lapland project

2023-01-24 08:36 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday edition that iA Capital Markets analyst Ronald Stewart rates Rupert Resources "speculative buy" in new coverage. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Stewart targets the shares at $8, which is 25 cents under the consensus. He calls Rupert's Lapland project in Finland a "large, high-grade, high-confidence resource." He says Rupert's "momentum" is "assured." Mr. Stewart says in a note: "One of the hallmarks of a good gold discovery is the length of time between discovery and a Preliminary Economic Analysis (PEA). For Rupert Resources it took just two and a half years from the initial discovery drill hole to a published PEA on its 100-per-cent-owned Lapland project. ... The PEA demonstrates a best-in-class economic forecast of the project's development potential. It boasts an industry leading low-cost profile with AISC [all-in sustaining cost] estimated at less than $500 (U.S.) per ounce over the initial 11 years of a 22-year mine. Total gold production is estimated at 4.25 million ounces and is expected to average around 200,000 ounces per annum. ... Rupert's Lapland project is bound to be on the radar of investors and producers alike."
