THUNDERSTRUCK RESOURCES ANNOUNCES THE DEATH OF TOOKIE ANGUS
Thunderstruck Resources Ltd. is saddened by the passing of its longtime friend, shareholder and advisory board member, Tookie Angus.
"Tookie was a force of nature," stated Bryce Bradley, president and chief executive officer. "He has shaped the lives of many people, and we will miss him professionally as an experienced adviser, and personally as a friend and mentor. He was a rare and unique individual and has left the world a better place. Our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to his wife Helen and loved ones; we are grateful that he was part of our lives and he will be sorely missed."
Tookie spent the last 40 years focusing on the structuring and financing of significant international exploration, development and mining ventures. He served as chairman of the board of B.C. Sugar Refinery Ltd. and Nevsun Resources. He has served as director of First Quantum Minerals, and Canico Resources Corp. until its takeover by CVRD in 2005. He was a director of Bema Gold until its takeover by Kinross Gold in 2007. Additionally, he was managing director of mergers and acquisitions for Endeavour Financial, a director of Ventana Gold until its takeover by AUX Canada Acquisition in 2011, and a director of Plutonic Power until its merger with Magma Energy in 2011.
At the time of his passing, he was chairman of K92 Mining and Sun Summit Minerals, and a valued member of Thunderstruck's advisory board.
