I'm pretty sure that Axe is working with Wolfspeed... it's good to have RF transaction on the market ;)!

Management told me about Wolfspeed... I guess they get a quote from them within the last year. So maybe they will work with them and maybe not (if they have better pricing then GE). Macom is profitable (not Wolfspeed) so I think is a good new to have a potentiel partner profitable... Maybe they will sign a partenrship for patent and get a royaltee in mid term? I follow wolfspeed for this resason. ...more

Thanks for the response Cavest...very interesting. I did notice that the reason for Wolfspeed selling it's RF biz was to focus more on their main biz of producing and developing expansion to their silicon carbide power device and materials businesses. I don't think the definitive aggreement between them has closed yet and again  I noticed that the proposed buyer, Macom ...more

I read a Motley Fool article and it is very confusing to say the least. The RF business that Wolfspeed is selling off seems to be in the semiconductor one but they have other ones that they are also part of by the looks of it  automotive industrial and renewable energies. Gregg Lowe the CEO stated that they are selling off the RF business to Macom Tech but that is all semiconductors and chips ...more
