health canada and due diligence

I did a little homework to sort out the confusion in the mmpr business in Canada and there is a lot of noise about a lot of companies jumping into the medical marijuana business. What I have discovered is that there are only 14 current producer and sellers authorized in Canada and another 7 that are authorized to produce. this info is available @ Health Canada search licensed marihuana producers for the lists. Of over 1000 mmpr applications to Health Canada there are only 5 publicly traded companies that possess licensed producer status and only 3 that are publicly traded that are authorized to produce and sell. I searched all the companies on the list through Stockhouse and came up with these listings: Bedrocan Canada, Organigram, Tweed Inc., Thunderbird and Tweed Farms Inc. A lot of newcomers are flying into this mmpr space and they are giving the illusion of having all their ducks in order. a lot of them were mining exploration companies and they have become household words because of their promotional bent. Do your own due diligence and beware of the convoluted promotion by these hopefuls. Remember that this is a very limited market place at present and government moves slowly and cautiously especially on pharmaceuticals. I personally believe that we will have legal recreational marijuana in the future but right now the toe in the door is for medical use in Canada. Of the publicly traded companies I own v.bed. We all know the illegal recreational market is alive and well and as a concerned citizen and driver I also invested in C.blo which is a medical marijuana breathalyzer which has a prototype developed and could do well as an investment. oops I plugged! glta and dyodd.

Yes Geodcan...I remember commenting in here...on this very subject about a month ago.. I notived that those mining companies are jumping on board ... am not sure where they got their knowledge, and how come they are allowed to do so. I also read somewhere that a BC Native band will also start their own Medical MMJ grow.. I have to admit that i am not sure how they all got any type of ...more

Due diligence? How do you come up with just 5 publicly traded companies? Mettrum been licensed since November 2013 and went public in October. They currently have the largest number of clients at 2100 (1/3 of the market) and the highest year to date sales. If you follow C Parry you will find he does not mention them as they do not pay his fees and they are a competitor for OGI which apparently hi ...more

Mettrum seems to do very well... am sincerely happy for them :) I found an article  about Mettrum...and their quarter result. ... you seems to know about Mettrum...so i have some questions for you On this article... it says how Mettrum revenue was $800000 +... with is fine... but if you are going to compare, you must know that BED revenue for the last 9 months was 1 Million. Here is the info: Mettrum revenue for the three-month period ended September 30, 2014 was $806,412 BUT Mettrum Revenue for the six-month period ended September 30, 2014 was $1.5 million. Bedrocan revenue of $1 million was achieved from the Company's nine-month period ended October 31st, 2014, So you have to look at the different time periods. Also ...more

I wasnt looking for any additional MMJ company..but Mettrum looks good..i have to admit. But i can ignore that those numbers come with 2/3 of the patients numbers...so it just confirm that BED is doing very well.. Although Mettrum is realy appealing, I will be watching for now... as I concider that Bed may have one advantage still... if CAnadian crops have a bad season for some reason (this ...more

Let me make a clarification Fab. My original post said the following quote and referenced it :"Mettrum has the largest number of clients at 2100," which effectively means they are the largest supplier in the Ontario region. It appears they’ve got about a third of the market, based on the latest industry stats."https://www.midasletter.com/midas-letter-financial ...more

I stand corrected. Mettrum is licenced to produce and sell marijuana in Canada. I don't know how I missed it and I apologize for my mistake. I am watching a documentary on msnbc called Pot Barons of Colorado which is an eye opener in regards to lack of material (pot) for all the products (sodas, chocolates, candies etc.) also American banks won't do business with these companies so they ...more
