This TWEED will put you to BED!
Bedrocan loses about $350k/month, Tweed loses about $1MM/month, so together they could be the largest losing Weed company that trades publicly! Quite an accomplishment...and quite an interesting reason for merging; lets lose together. Tweed has Smith Falls, Niagara Falls, and now possibly falls on their face...Chuck left because he knew it.
ALL of this less than 18 months after being in business...Tweed in particular is a cluster faulk with it's history, IPO, secondary financing bot deal with Jacobs, CEO resigning less than 4 months after going public..Bedrocan just went public, raised a heap of money from Bay street, and now this.
The sales just aren;t there...still...the ruling hasn;t come down in favour of the MMPR's because that system is screwed...doctors don't agree with MMJ as meds until they get some real data...that data will take yerars to gather...MMAR still exists...and now extracts and edibles are legal...they were not a few months ago...the cottage industry is kicking the MMPR industrys a$$ all over the balance sheet...but you'll never know it...the MMPR's still have only about 8,000 "patient/customers"...the recalls happen every harvest with these MMPR's, so the product is shite.
Throw in the fact that the PC Party should be kicked to the curb next Fed election, so their entire MMPR program will follow them out the door, and should do...it was a poor plan, poorly thought out, rushed through the door to give an advantage to the party line toters...it's a mess, and unlikely to get any better.
Compassion centres are doing huge business...Vangroovy has more than 100 "dispensaries", or pot shops, unregulated, with nothing to do with MMPR's (they can;t do as the MMPR mandates are written, another dumb move), and most people with scripts are staying with what they know, and they know MMAR, and do not trrust MMPR (it comes down from a hypocritical ruling government, anti pot, but pro pot lol).
Now this merger, with two losers looking to try to monopolize the MMPR sector...the MMPR needs to be tossed, and the process needs amending right now...you can grow it in your yard...and thats where this is heeaded if it is to be fair, equal and accessible...and when that happens, no one will need to go MMPR...and why would they.
Caveat emptor...the announcement yesterday was the biggest boost to both stock prices in months...they will continue their slide once the euphoria of the positive spin on this sad deal dies down...it's all mirrors and smoke...the reality is very different from what it seems.
