"Encouragingly, 1 in 7 tons of the new material is mineralized, indicating it is significantly more mineralized than what has been sorted to date." Translation: "HIGHER GRADE"

A month ago, they went west, past the 1984 workings. I inferred that as extension along strike. Does extending silver zone (=ore-body?) to southerly dip = extension to depth?
Comment by Henrich428 on May 20, 2021 5:17am
Exploration was to be twofold, "westerly strike," "southerly dip" of mineralization. NR: "Extension of main silver zone” (ore-body?) “to south has been accomplished from a new drift."

Unfortunately, it is not entirely clear of it is just more material per ton sorted that meets the cutoff of the sorter (may be the same grade or even lower final grade post sorting) or if indeed the material that comes out of the sorter is also of higher grade. Maybe anyone knows more about how the sorter works and how to interprete exactly what is meant here?
Comment by Tinhos on May 20, 2021 7:18am
Just adding: If the final grade after sorting would be the same, one out of seven tons would be 14%. If I remember correctly, the amount of concentrate after sorting with the previously used material was 5 to 7%. In case the grade coming out of the sorter is the same, this would be a doubling of the final grade of concentrate. Is this correct???? Any experts who can check?

They wouldn't have mentioned that find "if" they thought it wasn't usable.....best to all

I think that I see what you're saying Tinhos. The question is "Is the grade of this new ore higher, or is the ore, in the aggregate, simply more likely to have profitably extractable mineralization in it." The words of the NR run as follows: "The new material is significantly more mineralized." (In the necessary Bayhorse legalese, material = (I think) "ore ...more

Thanks Henrich, the final amount of silver that can be extracted is a function of the grade and the amount of concentrate. I guess at this point even Bayhorse does not know for sure if it is just the amount or both amount and grade that is higher. That would require assays and probably they have not yet processed a lot of the new material to know if the current better return holds up over time.  ...more

As far as I know, the sorter selects any rock for further processing that has a density of over 2.8 g / cm³. The sorter does not distinguish whether the rock has a density of 2.9 g / cm³ (low silver content) or 3.5 g / cm³ (high silver content). Both are processed further. In my opinion, the specification 1 t out of 7 t can only refer to the quantity, not the quality of the ...more

Thanks very much for your post Tinhos. I think that Gknight has hit the nail on the head as usual.
