I will be selling my shares shortly.
Before leaving, I want to say this Board was civil and informative.
For that civility, I want to thank all Stockhouse
Board members.
We have seen the value of our shares evaporate, so I appreciate
the dashed hopes and financial implications. I wish all of you well.
I think that Pacific Booker needs a new focus and needs to present
a clear path forward to be presented to shareholders before an advanced
AGM. It seems that the company was treading water for the last
three years.
I read the last draft SAIR and thought that the lack of progress rests
more with EAO than with Pacific Booker.
I would like to make the following observations:
(a) Pacific Booker's continuing to mention issues with 'Skeena
Headwaters' and 'Morrison River' are not helpful to obtaining
an EAC. The main issue that need to resolved is whether pollution
from mine operations will damage Morrison Lake. I note that the
Krippen reports often referred to 'Morrison River'.rather than
Morrison Creek.
The Environment Ministry is one of the decision makers in whether
Pacific Booker should be issued an EAlC. Harping on their past mistakes
Is not win us any favours.
(b) Despite using expert consultants, and EAO determining that Pacific Booker
had met expectations, many of the findings were challenged in the 2015
Source Report prepared for LBN. Pacific Booker responded to the tailings pond issues
through a well-done comprehensive report by Krippen, but did not respond
to other issues, in particular whether the diffuser would work properly. I think
that the non-response to the diffuser issue was the nail in the coffin to the EAC.
In future, Pacific Booker must specifically address any issues raised by LBN. The response
should be sent to both EAO and the Band's lawyer.
(c). There are three Indian bands that would be affected by the
mine. Pacific Booker arguing that they only needed to address
LBN concerns seems to be tone deaf to the rights of others and
unnecessarily combative.
---------------------
I have many other thoughts about Pacific Booker and EAO.
As a taxpayer, I am shocked at the lack of clarity given to
Pacific Booker's suggestions on moving forward.
i have paid dearly for EAO's intransigence.
