There was also the assasination  of a president / serbian leader who was sympathic to Erin.  which put matters on hold for months/ years while the govt regrouped.

tmp, I forgot about this incident and I didn't know he was in our corner. That would have been Zoran Dindic - Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia. Zoran was assasinated 18 years ago by a socialist sniper. ini had made many enemies domestically throughout his political career primarily because of his regard as being pro-Western and his hard-line policies on organized crime

Wow thanks for the summary BB!  I also have a bottle of Cristal in storage. Maybe we long time share holders can have a Zoom conference to celebrate! But I don't want to jinx anything so laying low for now, and observing.... ; )
