Boron Property License Extension news release

Erin Ventures Receives Boron Property License Extension

May 6, 2021

Erin Ventures Inc. [TSXV: EV] is pleased to report that it has received a license extension for its Piskanja Boron Project, in accordance with the Serbian Law on Mining and Geological Exploration. The license renewal grants Erin until September 25, 2023 to complete the necessary studies and gain approval for the “Certification of Reserves” and the “Approval of the Exploitation Field”, as the first two (of three) steps in the mineral exploitation and mine licensing approval process, as per Erin’s request.

The “Certification of Reserves” process consists primarily of the submission and approval of a Serbian compliant Mineral Resource Calculation and Technical Economic Assessment, which approximates to a CIM compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) in scope and degree of confidence. The “Approval of the Exploitation Field” consists primarily of the submission and approval of a Serbian compliant Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment, and approximates to a CIM compliant pre-feasibility study.

Always nice to have a license when you are JV ing.

Yes, I think it helps when you have a current Exploration License on the property that concerns the JV Partnership. FYI, Erin applied for the License Renewal 8 months,1 week ago. Once again, the Ministry is in their sleep mode, maybe inefficiency at it's best!  Oh, I forgot they had another election and appointed a new Minister that had to be brought up to speed. It just gives me more ...more

We do our part and we wait. It's a little frustrating but what can we do. We have it now and we go forward. No doubt it causes delays but we have it so let's just go ahead. When it is allowed we will come to an AGM and talk about remember when this or that happened. It will make for some good conversation to say the least..

Why has the tone changed so significantly?  What part of this is negative?

I would not say the tone has changed, it is like a wedding that has been postponed; the couple still fancy each other but the sentiment amongst the guests is that, they all got dressed up for nothing and now they have to get their dresses and suits dry cleaned for the real event :)

I'm not so sure we all got the invitation time right.  Imminent to many appears to have meant days - common?  Really?  Those who have seen the paperwork and dealt with the lawyers know that's far from the truth.   IMO today's announcement checked an outstanding box - hopefully that's a roadblock removed for big things to come.  Soon.   GLTA   ...more

The only hard deadline here is September 25, 2023. As for the dates of any milestones, you have to understand..... Who knows?
Comment by CriticalMind55 on May 07, 2021 8:04am
I would not even call the Septemebr 25,2023 a "hard deadline" as that can also be extended...:)
Comment by EasyEnough on May 07, 2021 8:36am
No, that timeframe is in the Serbian Mining Law.  Once the process is started, there are no provisions to slow it down. A good thing IMHO, brings certainty.

Critical, the way I look at this exploration license term is we don't have to ask for an extension for any drillling at Piskanja, and we will easily meet the deadline to complete Parts 1&2 as per the new mining laws. We are 2 years and 4 months away from the Sept 25/23 deadline and Erin has completed Part 1 and probably has already submitted to comittee for review. If no obstacles occur ...more
