Serbia and RT

What a bonehead move by the Serbs to revoke RT's mine permits. 

Will the EU be reluctant to offer them membership now? 

Will other large mining companies be willing to invest in Serbia?

Sounds like the oil patch .Now look at the prices. Lack of new minerals drive prices sky high . Buying on these matters.

Serbia would not have issued a mining permit without an evironmental impact assessment approval.  I suspect the EU will also be reluctant to offer Serbia membership without some sort of compensation to RT for their massive investment in this project. Granted, there will not be a problem with environmental impact at Piskanja.  But, who is going to buy out EV once they are awarded a ...more
