Listening to the Webinar question (39:25) re listing on the Nasdaq.  As DrDR indicates, it would be "American depositary shares" (ADS) that trade on the NASDAQ.  I don't claim to have a great understanding of it, but it looks like each ADS would represent a "bundle" of BTI shares, so that the price meets NASDAQ requirements.  So, I assume we would keep our ...more

KBC I am not sure this is the best way to get BTI trading on the Nasdaq. As there will be a certain conversion ratio ( a number of ADSs bunched into one ADR) to meet the requirement of the Nasdaq around the price, I see no difference from going the reverse stock split to attain a share price to meet Nasdaq. The name Lambert Thalman (if I understood the name correctly) will undertake the ADR/ADS ...more

KBC I am not sure this is the best way to get BTI trading on the Nasdaq. I'd rather BTI zoomed up to $4 first, but that's not our current reality. You stated the following  " I assume, of course, there will be dilution at the IPO.". Why is an IPO required? If there is no IPO (new shares), what trades on the NASDAQ?  Where do the ADRs come from? So if I understand ...more

"If there is no IPO (new shares), what trades on the NASDAQ?  Where do the ADRs come from?" So there will be 2 classes of shares?  One for Canada on (Venture)  and One for the U.S. on (Nasdaq) ? How would the SPP trade in unison? Or does it? G1945V

Exchanging shares for ADRs and back to shares was explained in the article I linked yesterday. See the section -- A better understanding of ADRs Investopedia -- "....Because of arbitrage, an ADR's price closely tracks that of the company's stock on its home exchange. Remember that arbitrage is buying and selling the same asset at the same time in different markets. This allows ...more

1 for 30 reverse split, they will then dilute, stock will eventually come crashing down again. shareholders pretty much wiped out. bbb program pretty much gone as they won't have the money to develop that and it's clear there is no interest in it which is why they are pivoting. this is a last desperation move to keep the company alive. the eulogy is being written
