Maybe I am wrong but

If Chiesi bought out BTI for peanuts, wouldn't that negate their need to pay BTI any of these milestone/royalty payments? If they really are developing the technology with BTI, which i don't think is happening at all, then it would cost them so much less to just buy BTI. Besides, if they thought xb3 was so important, which agaiin, i don't think is the case, why would they want to see BTI go bankrupt? Again, i think we all know the answers,

LOL, amazing  that Lindberg so desperately wants it (do we have any confirmation they want it or are they just taking it because the company can't pay them back) but yet no biotech/pharma company that has superior knowledge in this area wants it. ROSIE2023 says, "Amazing that dr dr can get money in one hand for her pet but no money for her other pet"   Carina Biotech is a private company. There are venture-type investors with a stake in it. They get to see all the inside information and they have interests to protect. My guess is that they are releasing money and inviting new investors as the need arises and as they see ...more

"If Chiesi bought out BTI for peanuts, wouldn't that negate their need to pay BTI any of these milestone/royalty payments?" Assuming you mean Chiesi buying up the shares of BTI, in that situation BTI is no longer in existence. In my opinion, Chiesi, at that point has no further obligations to BTI and its shareholders.
