2. Spike protein causes damage. It does. But the vaccine spike protein is engineered to stay in the pre-fusion form (https://nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2622-0). This prevents it from fully binding. The above is also from glenpyle....suggests that those who engineered the vaccine appreciated the challenge and engineered to eliminate it.
