1. Strong management. You don't want to finance someone's education, so look for a group that's done this before. 2. Good location. Ultimately, the company needs to make a business mining these rocks. Ideally, you want lots of rock with lots of metal in it. 3. Enough cash. And I sure don't see 10 rigs drilling at Homestake. Of course there's winter weather conditions to contend with in the Yukon and they can drill year around in Columbia, I would guess. But I think you're comparing apples to oranges in this case as there's not many similarities between these two companies. One seems to be on the way up and one seems to be just....on the way.One other ...more
