What's going on?

Nice movement, but, as usual, not a word from mgmt.

Any ideas?

Price of Met Coal at record highs.  Management and insiders top ten investors own over 40% of Colonial Coal. No liquidity so any one trying to pick up or sell a position over 200,000 shares will cause share price to move more than the average liquid stock.  Today hit a 9 yr high $1.07 last time over a $1.00 was back in May of 2012. I started to invest 9 years ago in CAD in Aug 2012 ...more

Canadian: Thanks for all the info.  It confirms what I thought.  I, too, have been in and out a few times in recent years, but increased my position a few months back as CAD seemed to hit all the right buttons.   Didn't realize that insiders own 40% and company has the cash to just sit on it until the right buyer comes along.  Seems like that should be happen sooner than ...more

Interesting CAD went up from $1.02 to $1.78 on about 3ml shares with no news and we went back down to $1.02 on 1ml shares on no news. Wonder what trigered the selling or the buying ?   I'm just holding and waiting for news on a sale, you can't build major project's housing, transportation withought steel. Today we don't have the tested technology to replace Met Coal ...more

What triggered the buying? A paid promotion? The Epstein report? A leak? A pump and dump? Greedy accumulation by insiders/friends/family with knowledge we don't have? The drop in price is normal with no news. Was the buying supposed to enhance the share price just prior to a buyout offer which didn't materialize as planned? WHY did iroc not demand an explanation like they ALWAYS do ...more

The Epstein report came out after the top was set so more likely to have triggered the fall ! LOL And I think it was actually 6mm shares traded on the way up to 1.78, no idea what happened though and why but maybe some people sitting on the sidelines panicked and thought this is finally it a Buyout is here !? And maybe that was the very reason of whoever ignited that explosive price rise, to lure ...more

Ceo Austin just let 1.2ml share options expire. Possible something is up over the last few months he may not have been able to exersise the options if he has non public insider information. Just a guess on my part.
Comment by BebeRebozo on Oct 21, 2021 5:17pm
Looks to me that those options expired a year ago, and someone just forgot to report on SEDI that they had expired.  This is the kind of error that might come to light if say...someone was doing due diligen....oops...never mind...

Gotta love when these fools turn up on a BB ! LOL (again)
Comment by lumpy13 on Oct 23, 2021 2:27pm
I hold TM and have done well, altho not as well as CAD.  TM is interesting as a restart of a CU mine in Namibia. But the BB is pathetic.  The posters are either telling Junior how brilliant he is for recommending TM or attacking Red somebody.  It's completely worthless as a source of info for the company.
Comment by Chreca1 on Oct 24, 2021 1:07am
Well my problem with that poster was not about Trigon at all but to show up here with no clue obviosuly of CAD and to tell people to sell it ! The fool should have stayed over at that TM BB and never posted here in the first pace just to prove me right. Now let's forget this nonsense and hope for a halt next week as something must be brewing over at the CAD buy-out negotiating table,  ...more

Go look at Junior's posting history.  He's been singing the TM tune for years.  CAD is the real deal
