Wow still no volume ! Nice to see price back over the 21 day moving average as of yesterday average was around $1.31 so the bump up this week was to be expected.  Would be nice to see a close today above $1.50 and to see more trading volume. The higher volume will put a stronger floor in the share price. I would be surprised if Teck sells unless they can get a very good price. The plus of ...more

Another nice jump today in spite of (like always) the lack of any news.  Would infer that there are some interested buyers and even with the price rise, CAD is still cheap given its coking coal deposits.

Volume this month around 1.6ml shares at $1.57 average, today 180K shares at average of $1.77 would be nice to see min another1.4ml shares over +$1.75 average to end of October,  and get CAD trading over +$2.00 for the month.  Nice to see new high of $1.88 today. Any news of bid on one or both Met Coal deposits and todays price will look very cheap. Davids last sale was over several bl ...more

Another good day.  Not very liquid so those that want the stock need to bid it up.  Approaching 2011 high.

Such a gem. Only heard about it last weekend and jumped in at open on Tues. A great week.

Well we hit my Oct +$2.00 target sooner than I thought on increasing volume just under 1.9ml shares as of today at average price of $2.11 Oct 13-19th. Now have a new all time high of $2.53, next target is $3 will need more trading volume. Would be great to see another 2ml shares traded above $2.35 before month end.

Company is thinly traded, which is to our benefit.  People know there is significant value and don't want to let their shares go.

Even better to just see a halt, and an announcement that a bid had been received, and was being considered, but that other bids were expected soon.  I want to see a HALT baby!!

Well that was another quick move to over $3.00 new high $3.13. Volume on TSX just over 1.1ml shares Oct 20-22 at an average of $2.73ea. Today average on 600K shares traded is $2.90. Still could use more volume, float is so tight that any buy or sell of around 200K shares moves price 0.20.  Next target $4.00 at this pace might not need another 2ml traded on positive volume.  If offer on ...more

Looking good today average $3.56 over 800K shares traded. New high $3.73 Lot's of speculation on a bid price of +$1.00 per tonne last few Met Coal deals in Canada last year at way lower met coal prices,  deals were done at $3.50 per tonne that values CAD at over +$15. Will be interesting to see where the valuation is on any deal. My calculation puts current CAD two met coal deposits worth ...more

Nice day in terms of volume over 1ml shares traded today and all at or above last wednesday close of $2.43, CAD has averaged a price of $3.08 on almost 4ml shares since last week and traded almost 7.5ml shares at an average of $2.52 from Oct,1st-OCt 27th. September was 7ml shares traded at $1.29. August was 1.3ml shares at $0.81. CAD shares can be difficult to buy and sell so the recent increase ...more

No news mentions CAD, please provide article from globe and mail regarding CAD. Only news is Teck still open to selling Met Coal businesse. Teck also just reported record profit for quarter, majority was from there coal businesses. They have no plan to give these assets away. It actually makes sense for any group of buyers to include Colonial's two met coal deposits in a Teck purchase. My ...more

Look it up yourself. Share price dropped like a rock immediately when astute readers put two and two together. Some investors knew in advance. Since the story broke the sp has recovered some but definitely a concern to any objective person.

CAD is a Met Coal Company not a thermal coal company. There is currently no viable alternative to met coal for use in the production of new steel in a blast furnace. Electric Arc Furnace require recycled steel and new steel from a blast furnace. Blast furnace uses coke, iron ore and limestone to produce pig iron.  All current news articles are about the relationship of thermal coal use in the ...more
