Am I Crazy or What?

Nobody needs to answer that.... but today I took a small position here, even though I didn't think I would ever return.  This is getting cheap and the gold is there, imo the company either needs a change in management or a strong addition to the board.  Lots wrong here but current price and with booming inflation coming,  there could be some value here.  Management needs to get more skin in the game, get more aggressive and stop treating it like a cash cow with a now diminished treasury.  Indoubtgetout ...did Dines actually recommend this stock or just gold in general?   In the last 30 days this stock has traded almost 5 million shares...somebody getting out but somebody buying....worth a bet maybe....

Has anything changed below ground?  No, the Carlin-style ounces are still there.  What has changed is above ground where delays have pushed everything back.  The share price takes a hit in the interim, but if you want to buy a ticket and are willing to ride the train (despite the journey being longer than originally expected) the destination will yield rewards. But, the good news ...more

Good to see Desert Mule still in these parts. Yep, back in too. This is an interesting graph: https://cdn-ceo-ca.s3.amazonaws.com/1g9dis8-atac%20valuation.png

The graph says that for the gold ATAC has, they have the cheapest valuation by a long way.

What gold Atac has cannot be mined, until it gets a permit to build the Tote Road.  Has anyone heard any news or rumours on what is happening re, the Tote Road. Its so fundamental to Atac's future as a going concern, I would have thought Downs would have told us something by now.

They can't write a speculative news release on something like this. The official line is they are pursuing all avenues and in constant talks etc etc. I believe that is actually what's going on and have heard that this is of great concern to the mining industry/commerce in the Yukon as a whole and people want there to be a solution. Generally that means there will be one. It's still a ...more

Worst case scenario, Rackla gets mothballed indefinitely and the company has to turn its sights to Nevada and the Connaught property.  Then we are back to a penny stock acting as a penny stock, which is how this is trading right now anyways. This is like buying a scratch off lottery ticket where you know the purchase price of the ticket is the minimum prize.  But, many of us believe ...more

The permit for the road was denied in November after being conditionally approved by all involved in 2018. I have found no explanation for the permit being denied. It seems to me that it was a sucker punch but perhaps there are additional conditions to be met. It is a bit strange that no reason has been reported for the denial of permit. https://atacresources.com/assets/docs/news/2020.11.30.ATAC ...more

OK, so here is my synopsis of that document: ATAC only has 3 years remaining on it's current Class 3 exploration license and not enough time remains to finish a tote road within the span of the current license.  The tote road itself would be long enough to necessitate a Class 4 or higher exploration license and would not be approved under the current Class 3. The idiginous people are ...more

Heywood Sounds about right!

I would add that with no near term possibility of permitting the property is just too damn expensive to continue an exploration program!  Mush of it involves helicopters just not in the cards!
Comment by Heywood_Silvers on Jul 05, 2021 7:26pm
If we look into the future and see a stable gold price per ounce well above $2k, this will bump Rackla back onto the front burner.  At a certain point, there is just too much $$ involved for a rare asset in Canda to believe that it will permanently be on the back burner. It just sometimes takes multiple cracks at it to maneuver the permitting processes involved.  If the timeline setback ...more

When I made this post Apr 28 I asked a stupid question, was I crazy? Well I obviously proved I was with  ATC now trading at $.135.  Maybe even dumber I still hold the stock.  Not anxious to add to my position.  Bad market, yes but I don't see any changes made....just keep on doing the same and hope for different results....isn't that the defintion of something called ...more

ATC has three nice properties:  Rackla, NV, Connaught.  The low-hanging fruit, so to speak are the NV and the Connaught, however, these are the two with the least amount of exploration activity and the lower upsdie vis-a-vis Rackla. Ultimately, all three are justifiably needing to be explored.  But, we all know that the timelines have been shifted now that Rackla is on the back ...more
