Looking good.

0.0166 of Hecla share plus 0.1 of Cascadia share (.36CAD) is what we'll get for 1 ATAC share. Right now that equals about eighteen and a half cents CAD. If the HL stock price continues to go up, so will that value before the exchange is executed. The IPO for Cascadia will likely start at .36CAD and the market will of course determine where it goes from there...

WIth Cascadia, I heard the plan is to hit the ground running, with exploration work scheduled to start in May and continue through the summer, so there should be lots of newsflow right out of the gate.

I think this is truly promising and hopefully we'll all make out how we wanted to with ATAC. GTLA

Why aren't we getting our initial 0.02 shares of Hecla per share of ATAC as per the implied exchange rate on the February announcement date? Why did Hecla cherry pick the last 5 days prior to the formal announcment in order to minimize the number of shares it had to give up per ATAC share in the revised exchange rate? Hecla is not treating us farily and that is a fact.  I cannot vote ...more

Haywood, why do keep crucifying Hecla Management when they have done a fantastic job for their shareholders. We certainly cannot say that about Atac's management. I figure they sold out the Flagship, Rackle Project, along with Connought,  for about 6 cents a share. I base that on Atac's SP at that time of around 8 cents we have been offered 14 cents. We already had the  Spinco ...more

I've always found the management to be hard working and accessible. Both Graham and Andrew always respond to calls or emails. As far as I can tell Graham worked incredibly hard to get the message of ATAC out there and managed some big wins along the way--Barrick involvement, $10+ SP, and somehow keeping the ship afloat after the Yk gov decision not to allow the tote road. ATAC mgmt played the ...more

Agreed that Cascadia may have an easier go than did Rackla given the mix of jurisdictions the spinoff will be involved in. I have no problems with Hecla per se, they are making inroads into the Yukon (Alexco, ATAC) and what is good for the goos is good for the gander. I have no issues in general with the acquisition, I agree that an established player will move the project along much better than ...more

Heywood, I've tried but can't follow your honest concern here. I wish I could. I can't follow how you have picked this up from the same details of the deals that we've all received--but it's possible you see something that we've all missed. But, I can't take your word for it that HL got away with something in the deal until you address your concerns to the actual ...more

Hi imho, if you calculate the exchange ratio on the initial February announcement date, it would equate to 48 shares of ATAC per share of Hecla.  Let's just round it and call it 0.02 share of Hecla per share of ATAC. Fast forward to the April announcment and the exchange rate deteriorated from 0.02 to 0.0166.  There is no excuse that either party should've been exposed to market ...more

I appreciate the extra info. I'm not an M&A contract expert, that's for sure, so don't know what is standard. But, I like the fact that something wasn't locked in and so we can benefit from the maturation of HL stock now the deal in place. It is not that big a surprise that HL has risen with worldwide post pandemic, active war lead instability etc. And... the fact that having ...more

imho Seems I pointed out to everyone that the Victoria deal was no where close to the HL deal!  Even the naysayers who for some reason wanted .12 instead of .18 at the time of the deal?  Then again, some people struggle with simple math!
