OCEAN PARTNERS UK ( Braveheart forward contract )
Would it not be in Ocean's best interest
to entertain a potential upgrading of copper ores ?
As one can read....
majority of my posts are to analyze what a junior has and make itt better, bigger, more profitable.
It;s good to see theamount of reads per post - just maybe the junior will see the benifits of
taking into consideration of, seeking out the cobalite values and mulling over the ide of switching up to a basic concentrate to say... processing the ores to arrive at a pure copper or, even a copper hydroxide for use in agricultural practices that inhibit the growth of, fungi's.
Let's face it,
theres some real issues going on in the agricultural industry as per, droughts or, far to omuch water that encourages fungal growth on the crops. My prediction - based on reading news articles all over the wolrd - there just might be an ever increasing need for copper hydroxide to aide in the prevention of crops infected with fungis.
How does one make copper hydroxide ?
Quite simple actually.
It's the merging of, copper sulphide with sodium hydroxide.
Instantly turns to a ready use copper salt.
Why bring this up ?
It might be a far quicker process to convert copper vs producing pure copper using anosizing.
What does copper hydroxide fetch ?
$ 6,000 - $7,000 usd
Not to oshabby, considering pure copper fetches $9,000 - $10,000 usd
Again.. such an idea might wncourage the junior to make those revisions from simple concentrate to a " next level up " and fetch a far higher dollar.
If ever entertained, it would also benefit the " wholesaler " Ocean, as they too would make far more dollars as the in between selling a higher valued prodcut.
If Copper hydroxide feteches $6,000 - $7,000 usd
it's always the what if the junior captured 1/2 or more of the spot value ?
Ocean would also capitalize al lthe more on their end of the deal.
No longer would the contract be dealing in - hindreds - but rather - thousands.
Here's a quick vidoe showing how easy tyher conversion is....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi6iU4OJakQ
yeah.. that fast.
Hence - i would think if one factored time constraints when comparing pure copper with copper hydroxides hands down - copper hydroxide would clearly allow a junior quicker processing and conversions of copper ores.
it's the ability to take a small rsource and place it in the calibre of peer competitors that have far larger resources and compete on cost ot mine value vs profit and turn a project into a project with very strong economics.
Half the battle is already won.
Resource proved, and mine equiptment is already set up.
This is a brown field project - not green.
Every reason to place a little more efforts into switching things up.
Considering other ideas.
Now.. .what would sway me to perfer electowinning ?
it would revolve on the premise of,
Cobalite grades.
If there was sufficient cobalt with in the ores - i would reccommend - electrowinnning.
All because cobalt can be extracted this way along side of the copper.
Cheers....
Ooops....
Just when one thinks they've posted al lthier tohughts, another thought comes round.
Wink.
Pssst.....Here Braveheart - thisis a preferred XRF for cobalt detection.
Not the run of the mill XRF... heck, rent one for a week.
LIBS = XRF
