Drillers

I wonder if the drillers on site can tell if the core will be good by just looking at it.

I remember reading the Big Score, the large Diamond Fields nickel discovery in Voiseys Bay, 
that the water used in drilling turned black when they hit nickel sulphides.

Not sure if it's the same for lead and zinc.

I would say the drillers will have a good idea.  I have seen some of the cores and they looked rich

Exactly. The best GZ Zone intercepts were around 50% Zn+Pb. You know when a third or half the core is mineralization.
