"Pan Orient Energy Corp. announced the reserve report. . .its after-tax net present value at 75 oil is CA$1.09/share (10% discount rate) to 1.24/share (5%). That led me to believe strongly that the share price should be well over CA$1 after the CA$0.40 distribution next week."

On Friday Brent closed at $93.27. Wonder what the net present value is at $93 vs. $75. I predict more! Should the value of L-53 be as low as some predict, I prefer to keep the asset and issue monthly or quarterly distributions instead since management is on a mission to return shareholder value. If Thailand isn't work more than $1 per share, keep it.

Radcat, I agree. Using US$93 instead of US$75 gives a 24% increase in Chen's NPV numbers (i.e $1.35 and $1.54). How long will Brent stay high? Maybe long enough to pump a lot of value from the Thai asset if they drill more wells quickly. When the pandemic ends, there will be a rush to electrify the world, but the copper, lithium,... aren't available in quantities needed and OPEC can't ...more

Now that we have the reserves report, when will numerous third parties present their offers? Our barrels are worth more, we are doing 12 workovers, and drilling 3 new DD wells. All this should be factored into an offer.
