CELL On-Site for NI 43-101 at Clayton Valley
Aiming to ensure a safe, secure and sustainable supply of critical minerals, Grid Battery Metals (CELL.v EVKRF) is focused on developing its high-potential portfolio of projects in Nevada and is not on-site at its Clayton Valley Nevada Lithium Project.
CELL has contracted Rangefront Geological to perform an updated and revised NI 43-101 Technical Report prior to the 2024 mineral exploration season, thus allowing for the results to help identify structure and target areas favourable to lithium accumulation and determine the next steps for its overall exploration plan.
Tim Fernback, Grid President & CEO comments
"Clayton Valley holds the only producing lithium brine system in the United States and also holds amazing potential for lithium clay-hosted deposits. Our lithium claims in Clayton Valley are bordering the Silver Peak Lithium Project of Albemarle Corporation (NYSE:ALB), home to the only producing lithium mine in North America. Another neighbour of ours to the east, Century Lithium Corp. (TSXV:LCE)(OTCQX:CYDVF), has issued a pre-feasibility study referencing a 26% after-tax internal rate of return and an NPV8 of $1.03 billion. It will be great to realize the potential of this area of Nevada for lithium-hosted brine and claystones for our shareholders."
Texas Spring Lithium Project
This news comes on the heels of CELL filing the the NI 43-101 Report for its Texas Spring Lithium Project which saw average lithium grades of 2010ppm and up to an impressive 5,610ppm lithium from its phase 1 exploration program: https://gridbatterymetals.com/texas-spring/ CELL's Phase 1 exploration program provided impressive and on-trend results compared to those found at Surge Battery Metals' Nevada North Lithium Property which is located directly adjacent to Texas Springs.
Texas Springs' adjoining Surge's Nevada North is significant as Surge's first round of drilling identified strongly mineralized lithium-bearing clays with the average lithium content being 3254ppm and the highest grade to date being 8070ppm lithium.
With ~$7.2M in its treasury, CELL is well positioned and fully funded for its 2024 exploration season with significant catalysts and drill programs incoming at both projects.
