Speculation on Newcrest/Gun deal

I realize that this is a speculative situation, but what isn't when it comes to low priced stocks. The broker I use always sends me a letter suggesting caution In regards to this type of investment. In spite of some criticism, RR has been pretty successful overall. With Metates, he kind of ran into a brick wall, but who knows whether that story is over? When Glamis got taken out by Newmont, Randy ended up on the Newmont board for some number of years. I believe that  Newcrest was spun out or somehow detached into a stand alone publicly traded company from Newmont. It is my suspition that the connections RR developed at the time may have resulted in familiarity with the Newcrest operation and higher ups. Plus, a lot of mining companies are setting up shop in Nevada. This may be Newcrest's foray into that arena. CKG has a lot of skin into GUN and it could turn out to be very  profitable all around. It is pretty certain that Randy also still has a big chunk of CKG and a lot of influence there.
