What is the reasoning to have 5 cohorts in the proposed Phase 1 Clinical study?

How are they different to each other?

Cohort 1 has the lowest concentration of the drug Cohort 2 dose is increased Cohort 3 dose is again increased Cohort 4 dose is again increased Cohort 5 dose is again increased and is the highest dose the volunteers will get The science commity wanted an extra cohort build in so the increase in dosage is more steady than when done in 4 cohorts Cheers
