Hydrogen

It could be viable with technological advances, but right now it is too volatile for my liking.

Just about every business in the hydrogen market loses money, with break even being the seemingly gold standard. I made a killing off xebec thanks to McWhirter and got out when they announced they were using capital to purchase a hydrogen distribution company, with distribution being another incredibly low margin business. Renewable diesel and RNG are the immediate future. If you've watched ...more

I completely agree. Hydrogen might be a feasible alternative to renewable fuels in 15-20 years, but I can't see it any earlier than that. Batteries are a freaking disaster too! Toxic mining. Toxic disposal. If in fact climate change can be reversed by changing how we farm and we can turn garbage into renewable diesel we can easily keep on burning fossil fuels for another 1000 years.
