Used motor oil?

In the video showing how the system works they have a huge tank of used motor oil.
would be interesting to know where the supplies come from ,if they pay or get paid to get it.
would be interesting to know the ration of how much used oil is used to make a litter of renewable fuel.
could it become a problem on the long run as the whole world turn to ev?

They pay for it. Old slides had budget breakdown.

Nah used motor is super cheap and plentiful - least of there problems:  The only thing to worry about is if they can finally produce what they say they can produce continuously. Where is the catalyst from China and where are the fabricated parts to finish up Aldersyde so we can produce some product.

It all take time .... but the day they announce the desulphurisation is good to go..... this stock is gona blow up!!!!

I hope you are right, but I don' think it will have as big and/or sustained  impact as many on there think.  As mentioned by a few guys desulfurization is not exactly new, I believe it's already priced into the stock that this step will be successful.  I think we will need continuous operation and execution of JV deals to have a sustained price appreciation.  imho.  ...more

Kind of the same thing though no? I believe the rest of the plant is already capable of operating at the levels required to initiate the JV and desulphirization is the only missing piece of the puzzle? So when they announce that they have started producing at a level that will meet the JV requirement the stock should start to move, and then fully take off once they have operated at that level for ...more

Please provide a link to the video you are referencing. And I would suggest that used motor oil is one of the feedstocks Cielo can use as well as used cooking oil which is a well known feedstock for conversion to biodiesel.

They are using used motor oil to create a slurry with the solid waste, not as a waste product to convert to diesel. The patent also says it could use crude oil.

I thought the waste was used to create fertilizer. Isn't motor oil mixed with solid waste a hazardous/polluting by byproduct? I hope not! What is your understanding of what they do with the waste or how will they dispose of it.
Comment by lscfa on Apr 28, 2021 3:39pm
Co. has never talked about the ash that is left after processing. I found that in the patent. When they desulphurize the distillate sulphur will be a byproduct which can be used in making fertilizer.

Sorry folks, I have had my understanding all mixed up. I spoke to Cielo and have been set straight. The used motor oil is combined with the solid waste at the beginning of the process to make a slurry, much as milk is used to make a smoothy, and the catalyst is added to the slurry to complete the reaction to convert the mixture to diesel.
