Cielo Waste Solutions Corp. > Question, from an unbiased party

Question, from an unbiased party

Purely out of curiosity, and a modicum of intrigue.
Cielo has 660 million shares outstanding, fully diluted.
Its P/E ratio is -28.8.
Its recently twice delayed numbers involved a reduction of 2019 and 2020 revenues to three thousand dollars.
2021 revenues were $4,200.
Its trading at 68 times book value.
It has $2.11 in debt for every dollar in equity.
Its return on assets is -36.26%.
Its return on equity is -$167.97%
It has a working capital deficit of -$700,000.
It lost $39.7 million last year.
At the close today it was cap'd at $442 million.

I'm sure you probably brought in more than $4200 last year, and you probably didn't lose forty million dollars, and the chances are good you aren't worth $442 million.
You wouldn't be reading this.

Why does anybody here own this?
There must be something I don't know.
There must be a lot I don't know.

It seems very likely to me you'd probably be better off investing in yourselves.

Well written. I hope someone can read this objectively  and acknowledge some of the fundamental facts about this company. The warning signs are there and some people just choose to ignore them.

Does the 45 million in assets count for anything?
Comment by Catch73 on Sep 24, 2021 9:35am
Tamaracktop: Obviously there's a lot you don't know. Stick with your XBC they seem to be doing so well and stick your "modicum of interest".  Why are you wasting your precious analytical skills posting on CMC if you don't see a future in it and don't own the stock?

Strange you would take the time T to inform the board of their poor investment decisions here!,considering you've been holding the line with XBC analysis from your mobile home , just think of all the nice people you have parted with their hard earned money....remember T....when it was north of $11.00   now $2.68!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   take your smooth talk and

I suppose I can't let that comment go without a response, from my mobile home. Cielo just reported delayed 2012 revenues of $4,200,after restating 2020 and 2019 revenues down to $3000. Xebec just reported 2nd quarter revenues of $32.7 million, up 67% from a year earlier. Cielo's p/e ratio is -30. Xebec's is -6.6. Cielo trades at 69 times book value. Xebec trades at 1.29 times book ...more

Well, duh, neither company is valued based on historical or even current financials. Same is true for all small cap growth stocks. Double duh! Read your history for little companies like Amazon and tesla. It's equally irrelevant to look at trailing results for companies that go broke. Like blockbuster. I'm "intrigued " why someone would spend 5 minutes on a stock they don't ...more

How could ANYONE on this board question and point out some MINOR flaws in the next Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft,!!! Every major Bank,Investment house and Research company is ALL IN in covering this world class company and providing them with direction and money. How can they not be listed on the TSX and Nasdaq?? Is everyone (except the Experts on this board) that DAFT???

Everything you believe about this company is purely speculative. It could be the next great stock but for now it's just a fairytale. I will believe it when I see it.  It is much better to invest in companies that are profitable. When a company is producing revenue without any profits, then it's important to look at metrics such as price to book and price to sales etc, and compare ...more

You came back lol. Why are you so invested in this stock today? Just curious..

I'm trying to warn people. I was a stockbroker for 30 years at RBC I was the youngest broker at RBC when I started. I quit 30 years to the day later. I'd had enough. This one is teetering on the brink. It was 8 cents when McWhirter started talking about it. It could very well go back there, or worse. You're worth more than it is.

I agree mostly.. I just find it interesting when people post constantly all day long bickering with others (maybe a complex)  like they have nothing better to do. Lets be honest you can state as many facts about any company but no one will take it seriously, no one will sell becuase you warned them..etc its unfortunate but a reality - so why do pople waste their days..  Ill leave it at ...more

This is the first time I've ever posted here, and I'll never post here again. I was challenged, and I responded with facts. I've stated my case. Good luck to everyone here

Take a look at the definition of bankruptcy....Having more debt than assets, and not having enough cash flow to service your debt. I'm obviously not referring to Cielo. Just the broad concept in general.

McWhirter .... now you are on to the reason why CMC is a $460M and was well over $1B during July. The BNN promotion of CMC was over the top and lead countless people to blindly follow McWhirter.  I really wish BNN would call out these guys for there failures. He gets to refuse to talk about it and move on to ..... Xortx - a tiny pharma co. with $57M cap.   It is all a game of ...more

McWhirter is guilty of being dazzled by mgmt BS and not doing enough due diligence. Even the Echelon report does not question the demand for or pricing of renewable diesel. They just accept mgmt BS.

You are PROHIBITED from posting facts on this board!! You must be a cheerleader who gets the low trade every day, have millions of shares  at $.07, NEVER lose money and offer great insights like.....I feel good news coming!! I sleep well at night!! Buy more while its cheap!! That was at $1.45 and till today!!  Here's a rumour I heard today....Warren BUFFETT is ALL in on CMC or was it ...more

The word on the street is that the Dalai Lama has a substantial position in Cielo. Some guy down at the train station asking for loose change just told me this afternoon.

I posted that on September 24th. The stock closed at 63 cents that day. A poster here immediately derided my negative opionion. On the 27th, I replied: "I'll be brief" "This stock is finished." The stock closed at 43 cents that day. I have no stake in this. I have no alterior motive. People who bought Nortel at $100, or $20, made the right decision if they ...more

Agreed. No sense of owning a stock if there's a better one to own.  At least own a stock where management doesn't lie for their own profit

Ha. Never owned a share. Look at my posts, I was sounding alarms on the way up, but not many because I rarely post here. Just trying to save some people some money. I was a broker at RBC for 30 years. I can read Financials and most of the time I can know a bad story when I see one. About that video someone posted about the company in Nova Scotia? It took them 1 hour to recycle 1 garbage bag.

i read your post and i respecfully would like to answer this: You say " He bought high and didn't average down" ........I don't know how much experience you have but i have been trading for a long time now and i can tell you about a couple of title that i have averaged down and down and down until it was worth nothing...... experience....? well I certainly don't have 30 years with a chartered bank investment division but I too have thrown good money after bad too often in the venture casino. I've also caught one too many falling knives et al.  My point is that I and a lot of longs pulled out some great profits from this  ~200k.   Like I said, I got a nice Litlle condo from it.   I'm ...more

I started in the business in 1981. The Dow was at 700. The only reason I have Cielo on one of my watch lists is that I'm amazed that Bob McWhirter got away with what he did. The OSC is a toothless tiger. Going from memory, he personally bought units of stock and warrants at 6 cents, then a couple of months later plugged it on TV and it went from 23 cents to $1.10 on over 110 million shares in ...more
