What a Joke

My Comment: Does anyone think we're in relatively good times? Bank CEOs and Wall street are being hypocritical in calling for the national debt to be reduced when they lauded the Fed's liquidity and bailouts from bursting bubbles with near zero rates which allowed the government to run huge deficits with little cost.  And, as noted in the excerpt below, I expect rates to increase in the soon to  be recession as the deficits balloon. Got Gold?

Excerpt:Dimon, and numerous Wall Street veterans including Ed Yardeni, fear that as the U.S. national debt continues to soar, investors will begin to demand more interest to compensate for the increased risk of holding U.S. Treasuries, which would make servicing the national debt even more costly for the federal government.
