Increase commodity inflation will lead to demand destruction. Even if it's just speculation now. Markets trade in advance so i guess that's why all nickel miners are stagnant. I never put it past China to put out fake threats to dump in order to accumulate assets while they're still cheap. That goes for all commodities. CNC's clean nickel will demand a premium no matter what the price they want with the new metals grading system.

Perplexing isn't it that China does what is in their own best interests. They were stockpiling while commodities were cheap, relatively speaking. The USA doesn't even have a strategic stockpile, the good old invisible hand will make sure we have all we need in a crisis. Now that China has the upper hand in commodities globally, a few are finally seeing the light. Maybe we should invest in ...more

The USA and Canada did have a strategic stockpile of sorts. What do you think our coins are for? When I was a kid I asked my older brother (who was almost old enough to be my father) why we still have pennies if they cost more to produce than they are worth? Not just for commodities but for their economic numbers as well. Whenever we, US/Canada, put out our monthly numbers, we always revise them a bit the following month be it a little higher or lower. Not a big deal. When they asked China why don't they ever revise their numbers, they claimed no need to. Their numbers are always spot on. No need for revisions...No one can have perfect numbers ...more
