Just my opinion but the lack of news, price movement etc. Is very negative.

My scientific wild-a$$ guess as to the results of the PEA is a post-tax NPV of $1.1B USD, discounted at 8%, with an AISC of $3.75 USD/lb. If I'm in the right ballpark, these numbers are probably not quite as robust as Selby was hoping for, and the delays represent him trying to pad vaguely underwhelming economics with potential exploration upside. Of course, I could be completely wrong. It ...more

Your Thesis about the delay in PEA could be correct. I've wondered about that... I believe Selby wants to make this project look even better than just good and his delays allow for the extra goodies he wants to include. Why include better info at a later date when he can delay the PEA and include them now. I would do the same thing. Whether he's prepping for a sale or a quick partnership ...more

Since we are talking about numbers in the PEA; what would ideal numbers be for NPV, IRR, price/Lb, etc. What would be: a) average numbers, b) good numbers, and lastly c) exceptional numbers. Thanks

We want a positive number obviously for NPV. As long as it's above zero you could consider it good. I'm more curious about their AISC. That's what i want to see RM. I believe Selby might be able to drive that number down because of the MOU deal, infrastructure proximity, higher recapture rate on the nickel (still don't understand the chemistry behind how that works) etc, etc. If ...more

Fully agree Apapas. The main thing this PEA needs to show is favourable economics. I take this to mean that the mine value is high, the costs to mine are efficient, and the profit return is above average. I will look at the NPV, AISC, IRR, and the price of Nickel required to mine it at those levels. If a major is going to come in - then they will want to see something that will provide high levels ...more

Yes a lower grade nickel mine RM but as it looks so far possibly the highest grade sulphide mine in the world. I'm also not sure if they've completed the metallurgy lab testing to use coarser grind sizes to potentially recover More of the nickel into a very high grade nickel concentrate. I don't understand the geology or chemistry so i can't explain how this works. Some others on ...more

I would love if this turned into another Voisey Bay situation..
Comment by PCGuy10 on May 02, 2021 10:55am
Yes, they've already done the coarser grind size. That was the original reason for delaying the PEA so they could incorporate that into the overall cost. Also they are waiting on assay results from the other properties they now own. Thank's Covif. "These latest results demonstrated that a 20% increase in grind size resulted in no material change in recovery. For large scale, lower ...more

Thanks for that pcguy. For some reason I thought the further testing they were going to do to try and find improvement in recovery into a higher grade was going to come later in 2021.

To make the RE:RE: longer ;-)   let's not forget the political circumstances that also make this an interesting play.  Being independent from Indonesia, Phillipinnes, China and other large nickel producing countries, US doesn't have many choices and will want to secure a stable resource for the (decades long) energy revolution we're in.   All fingers x-ed but ...more
