10-15% is the maximum foreign ownership allowed in "constrained share" companies - companies that the Federal Government considers critical to the national interest. A foreign entity could theoretically invest 50% of the capital in Air Canada or West Jet, but their voting control would be capped at 15% of the voting shares. Some very juicy nuggets in there. I stand corrected, the strategic will have a seat on the BOD. Largest carbon credit company potential will bring in the ESG dollars like a west coast atmospheric river.
