Canada Nickel Secures US$10 Million Short Term Loan

Canada Nickel Company is evidently in need of further funding, despite conducting a bought deal financing earlier this year that was upsized from $10.0 million to $12.2 million. The firm has entered into a loan facility that is short term in nature.

Verry little dilution of shareholders, Warrants at $3.94 10m to advance a very large project, Ongoing trategic investor process and pending drill results in January possibility. What's not to like? I dont get it. Lol Glta...more patience needed I guess of which I do have a lot.

I'm going with what was said earlier on this board. With the growing size and scope of this project...negotiations with a strategic is probably being enhanced by the recognition of what we already know. This is a once in a generation project...I've been wrong many times, but I am convinced this could be a life changing investment. Patience, and time will tell...glta!

Well said Sam, same thoughts. You want to get the first big stratgic deal right on what may be the largest base metal mine in Canadian history. Definitely life changing potential.

Not what we were expecting but was also expecting nothing til the new year too. On one hand the loan was only for $10 million and due in April. It was from Auramet a highly credible loan facilitor not some shady loan company to desperate businesses.  One the other hand, it does leave open the question the possibility that maybe more suitors came knocking that made CNC step back and ...more

With such a short-term bridgle loan my assumption is that they simply ran out of time to get the ink on paper.  Getting new parties involved at this point suggests imo a longer than April timeframe. Lawyers grind slowely ;-) and a strategic partnership is a big deal with lots of details to figure out I would think.

But why even make it public a strategic partner would be in place by year end?
Comment by EndZonefor7 on Dec 21, 2021 11:36am
There was one interview where Mark did let out a "unless something delays the paperwork" type comment. Not exact words. Also he did say he expected BHP to come knocking. Maybe they did and the situation has changed? High stakes game now with all sorts of possibilities.  We shall see how the new year starts out. A huge assay report would kick things off to show the new properties ...more

So Mark said a strategic was in place unless there was some delays and that this would happen by end of December 2021. It never happened.  Check out Enczone doing his usual pumping on there.
Comment by KerStockhouse on Dec 21, 2021 11:38am
Agreed, a short term loan is definately earmarked for something especially since they are being transparent about it. If the phone is ringing off the hook from all sorts of suitors, especially the EV market not only does it make sense it is very encouraging. Is there a rush to play their hand anyway?
Comment by EndZonefor7 on Dec 21, 2021 12:16pm
Exactly KerStockhouse. If you know the deposit is already getting bigger by the day then why not take a bit extra time to seal the right deal. I would imagine they already know some of the assay results and can afford to play the suitors off against each other. Remember Mark worked for Inco and other big companies, he knows how the high level negotiation game works.  Auramet wouldn't ...more
