Good example today...

that MS is a very knowledgable mining CEO but not an experienced public company CEO.

We are all assuming that this was a calculated move on his part. Is it possible that he just couldn/t deliver a major as a Strategic?  Im not bashing - I am a long time investior with alot of shares looking for answers.

that's the way I read it. There is no way Selby says no to a major buying a stake in order to choose a bought deal. Shaping up to be another Wallbridge. They will be drilling to attract capital. If you have capital in hand, you focus on that, getting permits, & planning how to raise CAPEX. They might have 10 drills turning, but best case scenario, they can only develop one project at a ...more

That's what I said and I got beat up for it by "The Longs".

Absolutely until we hear otherwise.  This is all I have been saying - viewing everything MS does and says as infallable and beyond critical analysis is a bizarre investment strategy and it's not bashing just prudent approach IMO.

Recall Mark stated he was talking to majors, mid tiers as well as EV makers and supply chain companies. His requirement was whether the strategic(s) get the low grade mining metallurgy method. Not trying to let him off the hook but he did state options to who it could be. The board posters here like myself speculated who they wanted and we were disappointed. I'm still digesting it but if they ...more

Did he not at one time say that he preferred taking the mine to production himself rather than be bought?  It seems to me he said that in one of his earlier interviews. And there hasn't been news about the new properties yet has there?

If he said that it may have been early early stages of CNC. For the last year and a half a buyout has always been the plan. Where is going to get a billion dollars from to put it into production? Even Justin Trudeau isn't printing that much money to give away.

Have you not watched any of the webinars? Mark always does buyout comparisons chart. Clearly wants a buyout like we all do, but will take it to an operating mine if he has too.  Again, majors don't move share price and buy in the open market, fund managers do. How about a move to the TSX too ? I could see that happening soon with this kind of cash involved now.  Do you read press ...more

I'm unfortunately having a deja vu moment with CNC. Mark is starting to remind me of Gary Evans CEO of Magnum Hunter Resources. A now defunct oil and gas company I invested in during the fracking boom. Like Mark, GE was an industry expert often on cnbc and the like toting the his company and the US oil and gas revival. He was a polished salesman and highly upbeat days before his company went ...more
