It's pretty clear Canada will step it up and match or exceed the US to attract the Germans and Koreans. With not qualifying for the US tax credits for foreign made batteries and EV's, the pressure to cut deals here for critical minerals is huge and billions are at stake. Reducing reliance on China/Indonesia for any critical minerals is the key in all industries from here on in.  ...more

Okay this is quite different than your statement that South Koreans want nothing to do with Indonesia after dropping 3.5 billion recently on a smelter. The Province is offering 5 million for studies, and I may be wrong here but its intended to inform and support future funding applications. Companies are announcing they have accessed these funds.  Is CNC accessing these funds as well to ...more

5 billion might have caused some interest on my part. But 5 million divided between X number of companies is a bleep on my radar.  Hopefully better news to come soon. Glta

VW is extremely aware of today's tech savvy EV buyers ESG awareness to the GHG make up of the car they are laying out hard cash for. Who wants to say they have a 60% dirty nickel car? Nobody cares where their EV came from or how much the environment was destroyed to build it. Humans are selfish.
