VW signs MOU for Canada Battery Plant

Just broke via BNN. Francois Champange says Canada just signed MOU with VW for battery plant. Meeting with Mercedes and BMW next week. Demand for CNC nickel just stepped it up another huge notch.

Well according to the PEA, Crawford will be allocated to stainless steel. What does that have to do about EV's Take the following excerpt from Yahoo Finance: david 15 November, 2022 Stainless steel mill ...more

Pcguy..just looking at the spelling in that article raises questions of its own. Glta....may God help us.
Comment by SamMc1969 on Dec 01, 2022 3:14pm
That's because PCguy grabbed that quote from the yahoo finance message board from some random poster. So not much credibility there...ev battery material has always been a part of the conversation with CNC from day one..period!
Comment by N3tPr0phet on Dec 01, 2022 3:22pm
My brother in Christ, every single techncial report produced by the company since inception has related to the stainless steel market. Just because EVs are the sexy marketing spin that people are talking about doesn't change this fact.
Comment by SamMc1969 on Dec 01, 2022 3:34pm
Dear brother in misinformation. We have witnessed several interviews, the latest just a week or so ago. Where Mark talks about off take agreements with automakers or battery manufacturers. Now try and read this real slow so you can grasp the concept. Korean battery manufacturers make ev batteries. However,  yes there  has always been discussions about stainless steel as well. I believe ...more

Mark says a lot of things. A year ago they were going to close a deal with a strategic partner. A month ago they were completely on track to finish the BFS by 2022.  Has any work actually been done on converting Crawford's concentrate to nickel sulfate? Until a deal actually closes or a technical report is produced that supports the economic viability of battery chemicals, talk is ...more

Deflect much?? You sound like the last used car sales guy I talked to. Spin anything just to make it sound good. Now back to the original point...so your defending pcguy for trying to pass off a random poster as a yahoo finance article correct?
Comment by N3tPr0phet on Dec 01, 2022 4:16pm
I'm not "defending PCG" for posting a link to a "random Yahoo comment," I'm putting some meat on the bone of the perspective voiced in said comment. If your rebuttal is to go back to the fact that it's a "random yahoo poster" rather than address the actual facts stated in my message, then the person deflecting is you, not me.
Comment by SamMc1969 on Dec 01, 2022 4:37pm
Once I find some "facts" in one of your posts, I'll try and reply. This may take a while...smh
Comment by N3tPr0phet on Dec 01, 2022 4:43pm
Had the company produced any technical reports that include battery chemicals as an end product or which speak to the amenability of the company's concentrate for conversion to nickel sulfate?  It's a simple yes/no yet you haven't address it twice prior.

Crawford Nickel Sulphide  Project. Ni 43-101 Technical Report 19.4.5 August 22,2022 Market studies and Contracts section.  specifically states "There are various nickel smelters globally.  Brief profiles of the most likely smelters and concentrate processing options are provided. Nickel battery precursor profile is included. Thought you said there were no technical reports that ...more

A footnote in the PEA (which assumes 100% stainless steel) that says "the company believes an integrated facility might be good based on other companies maybe doing that" isn't exactly persuasive. There's literally nothing relating to the economics thereof of process flow for Crawford's concentrate specifically. This is not technical, it is an afterthought, and no actual work ...more
Comment by SamMc1969 on Dec 01, 2022 6:19pm
First, it's not a footnote. So that's a, well brother in christ let's just say an untruth. Not very Christian like...second that quote you have looks very suspect...lol. What page on the PEA is that on? Just for reference. Third, a PEA is a "preliminary" economic assessment. On page 32 of the investor presentation states "delivery of nickel units to the ev supply chain ...more
Comment by N3tPr0phet on Dec 01, 2022 6:36pm
We can quibble over the definition of footnote but the fact remains it's a sub-point of a subsection 8n a PEA that stipulates 100% stainleas steel.  19.4.5 - Ecopro produces battery chemicals and signed a JV with Blackstone to create an integrated battery chemicals operation. CNC believes that it could do the same.  This is literally the same section that you referenced as being a  ...more
Comment by SamMc1969 on Dec 01, 2022 7:13pm
Ok so much to cover here. I literally don't have the time. I won't quibble over footnotes definition either, but if you look at the PEA the whole thing is sub points of sub sections...lol..It's a report, a technical report. So my take away is that you agree that CNC could supply the ev battery supply chain. Great check , it's just a matter of how economical. Which you don't ...more
Comment by N3tPr0phet on Dec 01, 2022 7:30pm
My point is that the company is glomming onto the EV narrative but literally none of the work they've done do far relates to the production of battery chemicals. Tacking verbiage on to a stainless PEA that maybe batteries could be a thing or including intentions to supply the EV chain in the BFS as part of a corporate presentation is just marketing talk, until they actually do some work and ...more

You're right what is Mark thinking as the CEO of a junior nickel mining project. Spouting off about nickel super cycles, and the coming ev revolution that's going to need 60 Crawford sized mines. The guy acts like he is considered a nickel expert or something. He should be slaving away on technical reports for battery chemistry instead of deploying his capital to find the scope and scale ...more

This is how pathetic the trolling has become. He's done this before thinking some moron on Yahoo has an ounce of cred. Such trash.
Comment by PCGuy10 on Dec 01, 2022 4:43pm
So I post a quote from another finance board as a rebuttal to a post.  Instead of answering the question as to why you are right and the anonymous poster is wrong,  giving us facts and figures, you go off like a rabid warewolf on the full moon.  Explain to me again how some moron on Yahoo Finance has no credibility but some anonymous genious on who keeps posting spin articles ...more
