First they impose an export tax and then what?
A refining tax?
I'm sure the big guys will figure it our soon enough.

They can't be blamed for wanting the value addition to take place in their nation rather than another. There are more jobs per ton for building batteries than for extracting & refining ore. The end game is, batteries have to be built somewhere. From Indonesia's point of view, why not here? The car makers have a lot of reasons for not there, so the tax is a penalty for Indonesia's ...more
