Northlander Timmins Train
And yesterday I visited the Ontario Northland booth. The first thing I asked the lady was that how will the train to Timmins get to Timmins, if most of the tracks into Timmins were torn up and destroyed.
The aswer is that the train will go to Timmins Porcupine Station. There we go. the tracks are still pretty much intact up to that point. From there it's just a matter of Timmins Transit linking to the station. Not a big deal, their routes go there already.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that what idlefreebird or apapas said ?

Sounds about right. That seems to be as far into Timmins they can get without laying new track. At least now we know the train is going into the Tmmins Suburbs and not bypassing it entirely with a shuttle bus from Mathewson.

It was probably idlefree that said it Endzone. He's from that neck of the woods. I'm about 7 hours south of there and not familiar with the area. Although I might take a drive up and pay a visit this summer. GLTA

Thanks for the refresher idle. Mark's saying we could be the next Sudbury sounds more feasible when you look at the network of new infrastructure for the entire Timmins area. Being as net zero as possible could make us a global leader.
