Manitoba Budget

I had hoped they would be able to announce some government support after Manitoba's budget release in the spring; however, Manitoba delayed the passing of their budget until the fall session. I believe this means Manitoba is not allowed to announce any new spending for 2024 until the budget passes through the legislative assembly.

Manitoba's fall session begins October 2nd. Hopefully this is the hold up, waiting on MB's matching portion of any federal/provincial funding packages rather than waiting on a funding commitment from the federal government.

There will be significant pressure on Manitoba's legislative assembly to pass the budget and get new dollars out to their ministries who have been relying on the interim appropriation act, 2024 since the spring.

Maybe, the warrant extension is connected to this timeline. Maybe.
