Checking in....

I take it no provincial permit yet......here i thought Legault wanted QC to be the battery hub of NA. Guess even he cant get QC red tape to move out of the way. Good news is CRE seems to weather market melt downs as it always does. Check back soon.

Minutes of COMEX 397 not out yet. I am hoping that Mr Laine (chairman of COMEX) has sent a recommendation letter to Quebec's deputy minister Marc Croteau. The last letter sent to him was to inform him that more detailed info was needed : ...write to the Provincial Administrator to inform him that the COMEX members recommend that the proponent adequately address the questions and concerns ...more

I will call the COMEX executive secretary to find out when the minutes will be published......Unless they answer me that this info is not available. And I will report back with an answer. Hopefully we will get a better idea if we have to wait another month for this. Next meeting is on October 28th.

And how thick is the red tape ? Well you might have guessed that Mr Croteau does not work alone. The document could be handed out to his right arm man Mr. Bisonette who would ask his director Melissa Gagnon or Annie Belanger to look through the details and then it makes its way back up to the Dep Minister that has it signed by the minister. My thinking is that comex reviewed cre's responses to their questions during the September meeting and will write conditions and make their recommendation at the October meeting. I don't think they would publish their minutes if it indicates in any way what their recommendation might be until the information is made public.

Minutes of the 396th meeting, July 14th I think, have not been published yet either but the annual report was published on July 29th.

Upon looking through the documents I notice that the last minutes published were in May !!! So I will not hold my breath on that one. So, I am looking for the decision register document now. The last document published is for the August meeting so they seem to be up to date on these. Thank you for the precision on the annual report.
