Look around

Answering why some of our piers such as LAC and FL both shed over 11% of their SP yesterday could point you in the right direction.

I am thinking that the CRE play is not the right type of investment for some on this board. Maybe they should stick to mutual funds or other less volatile investments?

I see a lot of the "piss and moan" attitude here lately.

Not really, Tinker as you have to compare 1 year performance. It's OK to have down days but in overall CRE is significantly behind peers: on YTD: FL - 360% (450% 3y return) LAC - 240% (900% 3y return) SLI- 400% (1300% 3y return) RCK - 480% (700% 3y return) CRE- 90% (120% 3y return) So you see our overall performance is ridiculous. I'm here to make money (hopefully) and was waiting ...more

You've got it, Monkeyhere.  This is rediculous.  I've been here for a decade now, and we just can't seem to get over the $2 mark.   I don't know the nuances of the public market and I don't understand big investors ability to manipulate.  I do understand creating value and communicating that value.  We are left guessing. They pooched the Helm ...more

First off, awesome posts by both Monekyhere and Canadiandave.  I agree 100%.  As for your comments Tinker....really??  You're a long term holder and stockhouse contributor but can you really not see what's going on with Critical?  Also what's been happening the last few years? How the heck can you not be pissed off and moan?  I'm not here to attack you ...more

The Price will recover, Redbull, just not when we want. I was trying to point out that the price will collapse so people don't get frustrated and sell bason emotions.  All this is Bay Street crooks that will make money on the back of the retail investors and JSL was helping them as it works for him to finance the project. This is a real project, that's why I haven't left but won ...more

Thank you for the honest posts. As mentioned before I bought into this based on a what I feel and still feel is a great asset and management. My faith in managements ability to tell the truth is at an all time low. The promises that have been made (as mentioned by several people on this board) and broken are too long to list, many going back 11 years. This latest PP stinks and the same Quebec ...more

So what can be done to demand something, anything of management? Is there any recourse for what is clearly operation contrary to the best interest of the shareholders of a publicly traded company? Or do we just rely on "faith" lol
Comment by tinker901 on Dec 02, 2021 6:03pm
You could sell your shares and move your money somewhere else where YOUR best interest is better served. And for the rest of us, since there is never a certitude that a venture play will pay off we are left with FAITH. Of course there is more than one kind of faith. The one we are talking about here comes from doing your homework or if you prefer, your due dilligence. GL

To answer your question Jade: When one or more shareholders controlling not less than 10% of outstanding shares call a Special Meeting in relation to how the board is conducting business etc the board will have to hold a Special Meeting to hear the shareholder(s) grievances. It can't be related to personal grievances, having an axe to grind etc.
Comment by tinker901 on Dec 03, 2021 4:57am
Rockhound, the question was actually what he COULD do. I do not think that a shareholder holding a 10 million share position would be asking that question on our board. :) There are some "high end" brokers that communicate with management on a regular basis. Getiing a hold of one pf them could be a way to get a message through. But I can tell you this, even if my answer to jaded was on ...more

Firstly it doesn't have to be one shareholder holding the 10% position but can include a group of shareholders holding 10% or more. I've been to many AGM's including those held by CRE and there is usually a lot of pontificating from management and not much constructive discussion. Special Meetings can be constructive in the sense that real issues/concerns are brought forward by ...more

I am in for my share, it's time to bring our concerns to "management" without any loopholes they can jump through to avoid the BS they have learned to use to appease their wall/bay street overlords. This is not the first time JSL has sold us out for a gang rape, he is establishing a pattern. Before this country turns into a cesspool of stupidity like our neighbours down south we ...more

Couldn't agree more. If you're a shareholder you have to be an activist. Either that or a sheep. Call and write them! Tell them what the owners of this company think!

Maybe should invest in VLI? Looks like ready to pop... Even SLI is down much less than us given the short report and accusations

I agree that CRE has dropped the ball from a capital markets perspective - this is coming from someone with a career on both the sell side (Investment banks) and buy side (hedge funds) in equity research.  On top of what many others here have mentioned, even things like: how have they not uplisted their OTC listing in the US (such an amatuer move)?! For guys like me who are buying in $5k ...more

Great post SmilingDog, A lot of the recent FL action has come from the States. It has always been a head scratcher for me how little emphasis CRE has put on the market side.  You had an earlier post regarding the Provincial Permits, I think part of the delay revolves around their amateur preparation and inability to answer even the uncomplicated questions at the first hearings. You had ...more

I think the decision to do a raise right before a large value unlocking event was a poor one. And maybe a reflection of the distorted perspective management has around forgetting the retail investor (who has supported them up to this point) for the institutional investor. That also fits into my prior point around how they have yet to even facilitate the abilitty for the US retail investor to ...more
