When it happens . . .

it will happen quickly.  I reckon with a week or two of a permit, we will see a partnership announcement.

Stay sharp.

Actually, M. Haber said the opposite at the AGM. He specifically said that they will be "waiting for investors that are on the sidelines now" and after the permit they would not sign in a week. It is more likely that they would select "the" partner a month or two after the permit.

Thank you Tinker.  I am sure you are right, but it is a disappointment to me.  I can't imagine anything material in the permit that would invfluence an agreement very much.  That means that it is entirely possible to have an agreement drafted and waiting for the permit to drop.  Doing so would be a strong signal to the market that we mean buisness.  Two major news ...more

Hey Canadiandave....everyone is allowed to have an opinion.....and I for one am thankful that CRE will take at least a month or two to choose the best partner. We have one of the most desired hard rock assets in the world right now -- great jurisdiction, good source of low cost and stable energy, stable politicial situation, good transport -- and super high quality rock and great extraction ...more

Bigops, I don't disagree on any preticular point here, and I appreciate your response. Everything you have here has been understood for many months, though.  I just don't see any reason to wait for the permit to start having those discussions.  The bidding war could easily be happening right now (or even be completed by now). I don't know what I don't know, so maybe I ...more

Actually, it is a good thing for the SP to have several weeks between the permit and the partner. Our Share price will build during those weeks as anticipation does the job.

OEMs are starting to understand the situation they are in now and just how ******ed the future of their EV roll out plans might  be, they know now that they should have invested in lithium mining years back (like we all knew ages ago) so I think that when the permit is finalized there is going to be a barrage of offers for partnership and/or take over (better offers than the ones they've ...more

Canadiandave - In my experience -- in a completely unrelated field -- large institutions are very beurocratic and weighed down by process and procedure. Many of the seriously cashed up big entities that could buy us or partner with us would only want to spend a certain amount of time on this file in advance of all the permits being in place....once all the boxes have been checked they will dive in ...more

A simple unpublicised MOU agreement also protects the first at the table to do thier DD. These companies dont put resources into something that can be scooped while the final internal processes churn away...that would be irresponsible and unforgivable to Sr. management in any firm.

All reasonable comments, thank you bigops.  I am not quite there with you, though.  It's fine, I think we all rightly expect a payday in the next short term.

Whats may also happen quickly and its fun to entertain the thought as well is how quickly this thing might move.   We have never been in a position where it didnt feel like sp was trying to move forward but the brakes were on. Coupled with low share count and the worlds hunger for the stuff. I am thinking when the brakes are finally off and she starts shakin its gonna shake hard.   Bring ...more
