Press release
I hate those sentences...
"Management is actively engaged in identifying the optimal strategic partner or partners to maximize benefits for all the Corporation's stakeholders, but at this time, there can be no guarantees as to the timing and outcome of this process."

Exactly... people don't understand that they can be held legally liable for promising something in a press release and not delivering.

Most companies simply invoke the " Safe Harbour" statement at the end of the NR. That has become a standard declaration of , " I'm Not Accountable".

As much as those statement's may protect the company and the board, it is better to be safe than to be sorry from a legal point of view and there is legitamately no reason to open yourself up to a lawsuit from the shareholders in a simple corporate update, no matter how frivolous a lawsuit may be. I would even argue that omitting that sentence is insignificant to the short term stock price.

That a big stretch and how come all other juniors can put these statements at the bottom that no one reads and works for them? This management have proven to love shooting their own success down. Im not saying this should be in the NR, I'm saying this shouldn't be right after the discussion about finances.
